Leib J. Kaminsky serves on the Washington D.C. Advisory Council at Avodah.
Leib works with nonprofit conservation organizations and Jewish social justice groups assisting them in building partnerships in the community. Clients include Eshel, MobilizeGreen, NewDay Investments, The Minnesota and Iowa Conservation Corps, and YLACES. He received his BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Environmental Science and Master’s Degree in Environmental Education from the University of Michigan, and has worked with urban youth in the outdoors for more than 30 years.
He spent 18 years with the Student Conservation Association, raising more than $20 million. He is on the MARE Board of Nature Bridge, advisory council for Avodah , and EcoAction Arlington and serves as Senior Vice President for the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Society.
In his free time, he tutors first graders in reading, plays competitive volleyball across the country, and advises Future Urban Stewards (a program working with adjudicated youth in Detroit restoring vacant lots) and Moshava Atlanta (a nonprofit organization promoting Jewish community life and farming).
