Avodah knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate the trust you put in us to do so carefully and sensibly. This Privacy Statement explains our practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used by Avodah. The Statement applies to donor information that we collect both online and offline.

We have updated our Privacy Statement to take into account the new requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), which means that if you are a resident of the EU and your donor records reflect that address, you may be entitled to certain additional protections in accordance with GDPR.

What information do we collect?

We collect personal information when you voluntarily submit it to us.

For example, donors, program applicants, or users of our resources may provide us with personal information (such as name, address, email address, telephone numbers and/or credit/debit card information, etc.). If a donor or website visitor contacts us by email, they may provide us with their email address and name. Providing certain data is required in these contexts in order for us to process your donations or to respond to your requests or inquiries. Individuals may be asked to consider providing other demographic information (e.g., race, LGBTQ+ identity, age, accommodation needs, etc.)  in order to help us improve and/or personalize our programs and user experience, but we do not require this information to be provided to us. 

In addition to the personal information that you submit to us, we may collect personal information about you from reputable third parties Third party partners may collect information about your use of our site in order to measure and analyze website traffic, assess the performance of our advertising campaigns, and/or show you advertisements for Avodah on third party sites.

We also utilize various technologies to automatically collect information. These technologies include web server logs, cookies, IP addresses, referring websites, and logs of other pages visited. Such information helps us recognize your devices and better understand how you use our site so that we can improve our services to reflect your interests and serve you advertisements about the resources/programs that are likely to be of interest to you. 


Our partners, such as NextRoll, which was mentioned above, may use non-cookie technologies that may not be impacted by browser settings that block cookies. Your browser may not permit you to block such technologies.
