Jim Sturim serves on the Washington D.C. Advisory Council at Avodah.
Jim currently works in the Research and Development Branch of BAE Systems. He was previously a support contractor at DARPA and served in the US Air Force for 25 years, when he retired from Active Duty as a Colonel. He has served in numerous Jewish and secular community organizations and positions. Currently, he is on the Board of the JCRC of Greater Washington, serving as Co-chair for the Virginia Interfaith Council. He also previously served as the Social Action Chair and Secretary for Temple B’nai Shalom in Fairfax Station, VA. Jim holds a Master of Arts in mathematics from Eastern New Mexico University and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Northwestern University.
