Hilary Felton serves on the Board for Avodah.
Hilary works for the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) as an Assistant General Counsel. She handles a wide variety of legal matters for her agency, advising on Medicaid, child support and procurement matters. Before coming to HFS, Hilary worked for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General administering the Crime Victim Compensation Program. Hilary has dedicated her career to public service and is passionate about the equitable administration of government programs and services.
Hilary currently serves on the board of JCUA Votes, a 501(c)(4) electoral affiliate of the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs (JCUA). She is an active member of JCUA and Kol Or, JCUA’s Jews of Color Caucus. Hilary holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego and a joint M.A. in Political Science and Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago. While always a Northern Californian at heart, Hilary currently lives in Chicago with her partner, Robert.
