Fran Goldman serves on the Washington D.C. Advisory Council at Avodah.
Fran’s career has spanned public service and non-profit management for decades. Since starting Frango Financial, a financial planning firm, in 2011, Fran continues to contribute her talents and skills to many organizations, including the New Israel Fund, Jews United for Justice, Fabrangen Havurah, and Avodah. Fran is a long-time member of the Fabrangen Havurah.
Fran has lived in Washington DC since 1980. After getting her MBA at the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business, Fran spent 10 years in the public service working for the U.S. Office of Management and Budget and the New Zealand Treasury. After returning from New Zealand, Fran spent the next 20 years as the CFO of several local, national, and international organizations, including the New Israel Fund, the AFL-CIO Working for America Institute, Wal-Mart Watch, and the Center for Inspired Teaching.
In 2010, Fran moved from working with organizations on their finances to working with individuals and families when she became a Certified Financial Planner ® and started Frango Financial LLC, a comprehensive, fee-only financial planning firm. Fran conducts financial literacy seminars for staff of progressive non-profit organizations. Fran’s annual Financial Planning workshop is one of our most popular programs for current and past Avodah Corps Members.
