Description: This is a project-based role for an independent contractor. The exact hours will be determined based on the scope of the project. You will be guaranteed a minimum number of hours, and will be paid for each additional hour worked up to the maximum number of hours. Rate: $22/hour
Each year, we have a short window in between when our outgoing cohort of Jewish Service Corps Members leaves their communal living space and our new cohort begins in which to prepare our houses. In some cities, this may involve moving to a new house. The Seasonal Project Assistant will provide temporary support for our turnover process. They will partner with local Avodah program staff and serve a key role in preparing our bayit (house) for the next cohort.

Avodah is seeking a Program Director to oversee and implement our Jewish Service Corps in New Orleans, represent Avodah within the local Jewish community, and help maintain relationships with local donors and stakeholders. The ideal Program Director is a skilled educator and program facilitator who is passionate about building strong communities who can support each other in their work for social justice, Jewish identity development, personal growth, and the meaningful intersections between those. They are able to comfortably hold a range of logistical, emotional and educational responsibilities in order to ensure that the overall program runs smoothly and successfully.
The NOLA Program Director works with a national team of Service Corps Program Directors and with the Service Corps Program Operations staff. The NOLA Program Director reports to the National Service Corps Director (located in Chicago) and their fundraising work is guided by the Director of Individual Giving (located in Boston).
Location: Remote, anywhere in the US
Description: Part-time, 30 hours per week

Salary: $38,000-$43,000 for 30 hours per week
The Development Operations Associate is a key part of Avodah’s development team, helping to process donations, run fundraising reports, and analyze data to support our development campaigns. They report to the Director of Technology and work closely with the Director of External Affairs. This is a great position for someone looking to learn more about nonprofit fundraising, particularly the operations side of development work, and for people interested in nonprofit database administration.

The New York Justice Fellowship Director will help relaunch Avodah’s Justice Fellowship in NYC, which has been on pause since 2020. The Justice Fellowship is a unique learning experience, rooted in Avodah’s years of empowering change-makers with systemic analysis, leadership skills, burnout inoculation, Jewish depth and a robust communal network. Through workshops, dialogues, retreats, coaching, peer-mentoring, project-based learning, and community events, the program seeks to grow Jewish leadership for social justice. The Justice Fellowship Director will oversee all aspects of the Fellowship, from recruiting and outreach (in collaboration with the national recruitment team), to program planning and facilitation, to individual coaching and support of Justice Fellows.

They are able to comfortably hold a range of logistical, emotional and educational responsibilities in order to ensure that the overall program runs smoothly and successfully. As the work will include virtual programming, the ideal candidate will have experience and comfort with virtual facilitation and program implementation.
The DC Program Director is an integral member of the DC Avodah local team. They will work as part of a dynamic team with both the DC Manager of Strategic Partnerships who oversees local development and community engagement in the DC region, and with the broader service corps team of program directors. The DC Program Director will also work with the Service Corps Program Operations staff and other national program staff to support the DC service corps members. The DC Program Director reports to the National Service Corps Director (located in Chicago).
