Job Description: Avodah is seeking a Program Director to begin work in mid-June 2020 (exact date flexible). The Program Director will oversee and implement Avodah’s newest Jewish Service Corps program site in San Diego, California. The Program Director is responsible for all aspects of the local Service Corps cohort, including the educational workshops, job-related placement and assistance, housing support, community building and logistics. This is an excellent position for someone who excels in roles that include especially varied responsibilities and variable flow of work. The ideal Program Director is a skilled educator and program facilitator who is passionate about building strong communities and who can support community members in their work for social justice, Jewish identity development, personal growth, and the meaningful intersections of those elements. The ideal candidate should be able to comfortably hold a range of logistical, emotional and educational responsibilities in order to ensure that the overall program runs smoothly and successfully. Job Description: Avodah is currently seeking two (2) responsible individuals to fill the position of Residential Facilities Manager in Chicago and D.C. The Residential Facilities Manager will partner with the liaison of each house to ensure issues are identified and handled in a timely fashion (within 24-48 hours) and will be responsible for overseeing any maintenance issues that arise such as plumbing, general repairs and cleaning to ensure optimal results. Job Description: The Avodah National Educator is integral in building and strengthening Avodah’s work in the wider Jewish community. They will serve as lead educator on Avodah’s community engagement projects, working in close collaboration with the rest of the Community Engagement Team to execute those projects. Job Description: The DC Development Director’s primary responsibilities are to lead major gifts development in the DC region, grow Avodah’s base of support, and lead the DC Advisory Council.
