Job Description: The Avodah National Educator is integral in building and strengthening Avodah’s work in the wider Jewish community. They will serve as lead educator on Avodah’s community engagement projects, working in close collaboration with the rest of the Community Engagement Team to execute those projects. Project Description: We are seeking expertise to significantly raise Avodah’s visibility in the wider Jewish world, specifically reaching new prospective and current donors, implementing messaging for our target audiences, and helping us set and implement communications strategies for our work nationally to emphasize Avodah’s impact throughout the nation. We’ve drafted the following deliverables, detailed in the project description, and would like to be in conversation with them or other items that what would be most beneficial for raising the visibility and wide reach of our organization’s impact. Job Description: The DC Community Director’s primary responsibilities are to lead major gifts development in the DC region, grow Avodah’s base of support, and lead the DC Advisory Council. This position will be responsible for generating and executing strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, steward and recognize prospects and donors with the capacity to give $1,000 or more annually, and to serve as the primary point of contact for regional foundation funders, community contacts, etc. Click here to learn more.
Job Description: Avodah is in the midst of a campaign to raise the money necessary to bring the Jewish Service Corps to San Diego by the fall of 2020. By launching in San Diego, Avodah will have a profound, long-term impact on local antipoverty nonprofits and their clients, the San Diego Jewish community, and the young Jewish adults who participate in our gold-standard leadership development program. Avodah and Jewish Family Service of San Diego have entered into a partnership to help bring this project to fruition. We have also recruited a small group of local ambassadors who are committed to helping make Avodah San Diego a reality.
Avodah wishes to retain, on a non-exclusive contractual basis, a well-qualified fundraiser to facilitate our efforts to raise at least $340,000 from San Diego-area philanthropists and foundations before August 31, 2020. Click here to learn more.
