Sasha Raskin-Yin serves as Avodah’s National Educator and as the New York Justice Fellowship Director. Sasha joined Avodah in August 2015. Supporting young Jewish social justice leaders has long been her dream, which she arrived at by way of organizing, work, study, and self-care. She has organized with Jews for Racial and Economic Justice and for LGBTQ causes, worked at Babeland and in college access at Goddard Riverside Community Center, and studied white Jewish immigration, assimilation, and settler colonialism in the US at the New School where she got her master’s in anthropology. Sasha’s self-care practices include walking around NYC, drinking bubble tea, and defending the often-maligned regions of New Jersey and Queens. Sasha is an alumna of Avodah’s Justice Fellowship (NYC, 2014-2015).
