Sarah Thompson is the executive director of Christian Peacemaker Teams. She’s from Elkhart, Indiana (traditionally Potawatomi land) and now lives in Chicago, Illinois. She received her MDiv from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in 2011 and graduated summa cum laude from Spelman College in 2006 with majors in Comparative Women’s Studies and International Studies, and a minor in Spanish. While at Spelman, she co-founded the Atlanta University Center Peace Coalition, an anti-war group with strong ecological and feminist critiques of U.S. military involvements. She was also president of the Student Government Association. She attends Tzedek Chicago. She is a Fulbright Scholar, public speaker, change maker, interspiritual theologian and capoeirista.
