Rachel Oppenheimer originally hails from Springfield, MA – home of Dr. Seuss, Friendly’s Restaurant and the Basketball Hall of Fame – and now finds herself in Chicago, excited to be part of a powerful community fighting for social change. Rachel’s life work is in seeking equity and justice for all by leveraging her systems mind, strategic thinking, and the energy she gets from working with people. She currently serves as Director of Program Innovation with OneGoal, a coalition of teachers, students, school leaders and education advocates working to close the college degree divide. She also serves on the Boards of Center for Changing Lives and UniTeach, two Chicago community-based organizations that work to break down barriers to economic opportunity and open avenues to youth civic engagement, respectively. Rachel loves beauty and art in all forms, adventuring outdoors and outside of the city, and hanging out with her husband Eric and rescue pit Andy.
