Rabbi Lexi Erdheim

Rabbi Lexi Erdheim was born and raised in Livingston, NJ. She attended Barnard College where she majored in Religious Studies, spent tons of time hanging out at Hillel and served as a leader of the Columbia/Barnard Interfaith Collective.

Rabbi Lexi received her rabbinic ordination and nonprofit management degrees from the Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles in 2019. While studying to become a rabbi, Lexi spent two years as the monthly student rabbi in Amarillo, Texas and served for two summers as the Education Director at URJ Jacobs Camp. She was also the intern at Hillel 818, a communal Hillel for Cal State Northridge, LA Valley College and Pierce College in the San Fernando Valley. Despite being from the Northeast, Rabbi Lexi has fallen in love with the deep south after spending multiple summers at Jacobs Camp and interning for Tribe, Congregation Gates of Prayer’s 20’s and 30’s Jewish engagement group.

Rabbi Lexi is a devoted fan of the New York Yankees, loves to go to the movies and plays competitive dodgeball. She currently serves as the assistant rabbi at Gates of Prayer where she works largely on young adult engagement and social justice programming. During the summers, you can find her at Henry S. Jacobs Camp leading the staff in training programming. She lives uptown with her boyfriend Charlie and their dog, Henry.
