Marlana Fireman comes from the best midwestern city, Columbus, Ohio. (But has spent significant amounts of time in New Orleans and Israel.) She recently finished university at IDC Herzliya with a major in marketing and political communication. Marlana is passionate about social justice; experience ranging from volunteering at the YWCA Family Center at the age of 10 to spending two weeks in NOLA aiding in Katrina relief work at the age of 16. Marlana’s family roots in NOLA and passion for tikkun olam prompted her to apply for Avodah. Aside from social justice and politics, Marlana’s life passions include family, reading, and donuts.
