Leah Barr

National Immigrant Justice Center

Leah Barr grew up in Evanston, IL and graduated in May 2018 from Grinnell College with a degree in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies. She is passionate about her love of the Midwest, libraries, and social justice. In college, she led a grassroots organization that worked to combat campus sexual violence via policy change and peer education. In the summer of 2017, she worked as a legal intern at the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and is excited to learn about a new area of civil rights law at her placement with the National Immigrant Justice Center.
