L’Dor V’Dor, our plan for a hopeful future

Let me tell you what’s giving me hope right now: Avodahniks.

Over 27 years, more than 1600 Jewish leaders have come together through our programs to put tikkun olam into action. They’ve helped the most vulnerable in our communities get medical care, housing, education, and legal support. They’ve created communities where they can openly and honestly care for each other, learn from one another, and inspire each other to act.

In times of great upheaval and uncertainty, I am buoyed by their commitment to our core Jewish values of b’tzelem elohim, the dignity of every person, and to defending of human rights.

That’s what we need right now. We need Avodahniks. And we need Avodahniks for generations to come.

That is why I am honored to share with you L’Dor V’Dor, our bold, new strategic plan to expand Avodah programming and deepen our impact for the next three years and beyond.

Preview of the 2025-2027 Strategic Plan

This plan lays out our vision for a future where Jewish leaders of all ages can get involved in the demanding, difficult, and urgent work to create a just and equitable future for all. It provides the roadmap to carry out this work sustainably, so that we can support our community for the long haul.

By the end of 2027, there will be over 2,000 Avodahniks who have participated in year-long immersive Avodah programs, spanning multiple generations.

Even in this time of great uncertainty, I have hope in the future because there are thousands of Jewish leaders serving their communities thanks to Avodah.

May this plan give the sense of hope and possibility of a brighter future for all, now and l’dor v’dor (from generation to generation).
