Each year, we bring our local communities together to honor extraordinary social justice leaders who raise the bar for how we pursue justice in Avodah cities. While we can no longer gather in person in each of our cities, we are excited to come together online as a national Avodah community to celebrate the extraordinary leaders paving the way through this moment.
This event is free of charge, but if you are able, we hope you consider making a donation of at least $36 to join. We need your support now more than ever as we work to build capacity for nonprofits hit hardest by COVID-19, while developing Jewish leaders who will remain committed to working for justice for their lives.
We ask that when you make your donation, you honor someone in your life who is making a difference amidst this crisis. Whether they are a healthcare worker, teacher, a social worker, clergy, or someone who works in a shelter or soup kitchen — we want to lift up the names of those going above and beyond to keep us all safe. Letters will be sent to those you honor, and their names will be featured during our celebration (for gifts made by 5/21/2020).
We are so grateful to be a part of the Avodah community in this moment — to be continually inspired by so many in the Avodah family fighting for justice amidst crisis. Thank you for being in community with us, and we look forward to celebrating together on May 26!
