Donor-Advised Funds

Donor-advised funds (DAF) are centralized charitable accounts. A DAF allows charitably inclined individuals, families, and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations of cash, publicly-traded stock, and, in some cases, certain illiquid assets, to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program.

By making a gift through a Donor-Advised Fund, you are helping to spark a generation of Jewish leaders boldly working for justice in the United States, while benefiting from several financial advantages:

How to Make a Gift Through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

Steps:

    1. Click here to request a grant distribution through your DAF sponsor.

    2. Be sure to use Avodah’s EIN #13-3914342

  3. Indicate whether your gift is unrestricted or designated to a specific cause (Ex: the program, appeal, or emergency you are supporting. You can also designate Avodah as a beneficiary for your DAF).

   4. Inform Avodah of your gift. Privacy laws discourage brokerage firms from providing client names in connection with stock gifts. Please let us know about your gift so that we can thank you! Please contact Shira Sarfati, Avodah’s Director of External Affairs, at ssarfati@avodah.net or 917-534-7483 with the following: your name, phone number, and email address.
